DUREGRAPH

Exploring duration in the

post-photographic image

This artistic research project considers how experienced time might be perceived in manipulated photographic images. The five duregraphs constitute an unstable space between a photograph and a moving image sequence. The portraits formed the practical component of my 2020 Master's thesis in Design at Auckland University of Technology. Each one contains subtle movements and enigmatic shifts in meaning
